3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
Most of your data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS data protection. This includes:

iCloud Storage (Optional)
If you enable the buddy system, some data is stored in Apple's CloudKit to enable social features:
- Anonymous user identifier
- Current fasting status (for buddy comparisons)
- Buddy connection codes and messages

- All data transmissions use Apple's secure CloudKit encryption
- Local data is protected by iOS device encryption
- No data is stored on external servers outside of Apple's ecosystem
- Buddy system uses anonymous identifiers, not personal information

Limited Sharing Scenarios
- Buddy System: Anonymous progress data shared only with users you explicitly connect with

5. Your Privacy Controls
Data Management
- Buddy System: Completely optional - disable anytime in settings
- Weight Tracking: Optional feature - delete entries anytime
- Analytics: Can be disabled in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security
- Data Export: Export your data anytime from app settings
Account Deletion
- Delete the app to remove all local data
- Buddy system connections are automatically removed
- CloudKit data is deleted within 30 days of app deletion
6. Children's Privacy
Our app is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information immediately.
7. International Users
Our app uses Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, which stores data in Apple's global data centers. By using the buddy system features, you consent to this data transfer and storage.
